MULTI-PITCH CLIMBING SKILLS
Learn techniques and skills to multi-pitch climb.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Learn the skills a climber needs to know to operate efficiently in a multi-pitch setting as a second (aka follower) or as a leader.
We will start in a ground school format with a demonstration of skills, followed by hands-on guided practice. Then we will apply the skills on a climb that has the option to construct intermediate belays. Through demonstration and hands-on guided practice, you'll learn strategies to become a competent multi-pitch climbing partner.

Under the mentorship of an AMGA Certified Multi-Pitch Instructor or Assistant Rock Guide, you'll get direct feedback and learn:
-Knots & Hitches
-Review gear placements
-Building gear anchors
-Transitions
-Belay station and rope management
-Tips for being efficient and timely
-Rappelling best practices
PRE-REQUISITES
-Lead Belayer
-Familiar with anchoring principle SERENE/EARNEST
-Rappelling experience helpful
-Able to top rope 5.8 without falls/hangs

SMALL GROUP COURSES

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

Transportation. You will follow in your vehicle to the climbing area and depart from that location when your trip is complete.

Gratuities. Your AMGA Certified Guide is a trained service provider who takes pride in offering you the best service possible. Tips are a way to show your appreciation for their professionalism. We recommend 10-20% of your trip price as a starting point.
